What brought you to ISAND:
I initially joined ISAND to complete my CASLPO mentorship period—it was an incredible learning opportunity to work not only with speech-language pathologists who I admired, but with a truly interprofessional team. When I returned to ISAND after working in Boston, I was once again drawn to the idea of working with a team that I could learn from. More than that thought, it was the ability to increase my leadership skills and the opportunity to develop my own program to fill a service gap for our tween and teen clients.

What do you really like about ISAND:
I love my colleagues, and I love that ISAND is a non-profit working to ensure everyone has access to beneficial services.

A little bit about who you are outside of ISAND – hobbies and interests
I like making things—I love baking and knitting, and any other cozy activity I can do with Netflix on in the background. My favourite places are public libraries, and I have a collection of 5 library cards from all the cities I’ve lived in. I especially love reading thrillers, historical fiction, and sci-fi. Occasionally I’ll go out for a run, and this year I ran my first (and last) half marathon.
